Luna3

Laurel Highlands, Pennsylvania

 

Luna3 is an American visual and performance artist, art educator and activist whose work focuses on social and cultural themes with reflection to the art history timeline. Luna3, whose real name is Patricia Weston, is a graduate of the College of Fine Art at Carnegie-Mellon University. Luna3 creates work in both 2D and 3D media. In addition MS. Weston creates dance and martial arts performances. The artist utilizes techniques within drawing, painting, collage and digital media to illustrate 2D work. Ceramic methods are explored to create 3D work and functional serviceware. Images and ceramic constructions are classical in concept and execution while being contemporary in use of current digital technology. In pursuit of visual expression, illumination of our collective humanity is explored by the artist.
